Diabetic Camp organized on 21 September 2014.

Diabetic Check up Camp was organized at Dr K G Kulkarni's hospital for the 74th time on 21 September 2014.
Around 60 diabetic patients were examined for the blood sugar level and medication was prescribed to them.
This camp is being organized by Dr K G Kulkarni since a long time. This is done on bimonthly on 2nd Sunday without fail.Around 200 patients have registered for this regular camp. The registered patients are informed in advance to come in fasting and have the blood sugar tested and the patients are provided with a breakfast.
Rtn Dr K G Kulkarni and Rtn V L Gumaste were present and completed the camp successfully.

Tree Plantation under "AFFORESTSTION PROGRAMME".

Tree plantation event was held under "AFFORESTATION PROGRAMME" at Morarji Desai Residential School Talkal,Tq:Yelburga Dist:Koppal. Around 200 seedlings were planted.
The concept is for every three students 1 plant is assigned and those students will take care of growth of the plants, the growth will be reviewed by the teachers. The team of students will be felicitated every year until they stay in hostel.
 The chief guests were :
ZP CEO Sri Krishna Udupudi, Deputy Secretary : Sri Ravi Basarahalli, Deputy Director of Backward Community & Minorities :Sri Kallesh B, District Forest Officer: Sri Rajsekhar, President of Rotary Club Of Koppal Rtn Veeranna Kamatar and his team of members and Officers were present.
 The school was promised to facilitate with RO system for pure drinking water and Solar Lamos for boys hostel.

     

Rotary Multi District Sports Event at GOA...

Hyderbad Karnataka Liberation Celebration.

We have been invited by the Principal of Government Junior PU College Koppal for celebration of 67th Hyderbad Karnataka Liberation Day celebration. Our club President Rtn PHF Veeranna Kamatar, Secretary Rtn Dr Srinivas Hyati and myself Rtn Laxmikant Gudi had been there and hoisted the flag.
Prizes were distributed to all winners of Taluka level and District level sports held. We from our club had sponsored 25 sports dress to two Kho-Kho teams to encourage the players.  
         
     There were around 2100 students studying at the college but they don't have clean and safe drinking water. So the Principal gave us a proposal to sponsor a RO system for safe drinking water and we had assured them to provide them.

 

Visit of Rtn PDG HVK Reddy Dist-3190 .

Rtn PDG HVK Reddy Dist-3190-1992-93 visited Koppal. He is President of Notary Association Karnataka. He was into his official visit of his Association and he insisted his association members to call upon the members of Rotary Club of Koppal to meet him and have breakfast meet with him.
We met him at Government Inspection Banglow and had a good chat with him.
Members from our club garlanded him and and offered him to visit our club and grace a function of our club once. He also exchanged many views with us and also insisted the Advocate fraternity to join Rotary Club and join hands in serving the society.

Membership Development and Retention Seminar at Raichur.

A seminar on Membership Development and Retention was organized at Raichur by all three clubs Rotary at IMA auditorium hall on 14th September 2014.
From our club about 10 members attended the seminar. We were appreciated by all of the top officers of District Committee 3160, and everybody appraised the effort made by our club for inducting 73 new members to our club making our club entry to a CENTURY club to a total members of 100.

Teachers's Day Celebration.

Teacher's Day celebrated at our club building felicitating one of our club member who is a Teacher at Government School and his experience was shared.
And also felicitation was done to one of our member Rtn Ravi Bisrahalli who was transferred to Belgaum from Koppal and working as Deputy Secretary on 07.09.2014.

   

Membership Development Month Celebration.

Membership Development and retention of old member program was held on Sunday 31.08.2014 at Hotel Parhta, Hospet Road Koppal

Chief Guest was Rtn PHF Nazimuddin ,Dist Chairman Membership Development and Rtn Srinivasulu Asst. Governor Bellary Zone. 

We had inducted a total of 55 new and old members. Last year our club's strength was 32 now it is 82 as of now. But we are sure we will make it to 100.

Seedlings distributed at Ganesha Pandal.

Seedlings were distributed to devotees of Ganesha Pandal . This program was held under Afforestation program taken up by our club.
This event was organized with Ekadanta Vinayaka Mitra Mandali Koppal and Roary Club Koppal.
The concept was that during celebration of Ganesha festival of  five days from 29 August 2014 to 03 September 2014 seedlings of various plants were distributed to devotees who visited the Ganesha Pandal instead of prasdam. About 1000 seedlings were distributed.
A list of devotees was prepared and a review of growth of plants will be taken and felicitated to the care taker of the plant.

in association with Government of Karnataka and Rotary Club Koppal on 7th September 2014
Again the concept is same each student will be assigned a plant and will be reviewed the growth of the plant and felicitated.

Afforestation program was held in association with Gurukul Education Society Kuknoor Dist:Koppal and Rotary Club Koppal.
The concept is same that each student will be assigned some plants and the review of growth will be taken and the students will be felicitated who has taken good care of the growth of the plant.
The chief guest was CEO of Zilla Panchyat Sri Krishna Udupudi.
During the event all our club members and The president were present.
Around 300 seedlings were planted.

 

Afforestation Program held at Tankankal.

Afforestation program was held at Morarji Desai Residential School ,Tanakankal Tq&Dist: Koppal.
The program was organized by Rotary Club Koppal in association with Government of Karnataka.
 The concept of planting the seedlings with the residential school was that each student was assigned some 2 plants and they should take care of the growth of plant. A review of the growth will be taken by the teachers and will be reported to us. The student who has taken good care and growth of plant will be honured and felicitated.
Around 200 seedlings of neem and badam were planted.

Raksha Bandan Festival Celebration.

Raksha Bandan Festival was celebrated in association with Bhrama Kumari Eshwari Vishwa Vidalaya Koppal branch and Rotary Club Koppal, at Dr KGK's Clinic on 10th August 2014.
We were tied a Rakhi to our hands and were preached about the worthiness of Rakhi.

Health Ceckup camp Held at Dambralli Village of Tq&Dist: Koppal.

A health checkup camp was held at Dambralli village of Koppal district. This was held in association with Indian Red Cross Society Koppal , Government Health Department and Rotary Club Koppal.
This was done within 24 hours of a report published in the local news paper, where a number of people were suffering chickun gunya disease. About 120 infected people were treated and free medicines were distributed.
People in village were given the knowledge for maintaining cleanliness and to maintain hygienic atmosphere around the village.

 

Health Checkup camp Held at Annigeri.

We at our RC Koppal held a health check up camp on 5 th July 2014 to victims of accident occurred at a village near by Koppal in which more than 10 people died and 10-15 people injured . The camp was conducted by the doctor members Rtn.Dr.PDG.K G Kulkarni and Rtn.Dr.C S Karmudi.of the club and medicine was also given to patients free of cost.

Installation Ceremony of New President and his Team for the RI Year 2014-15.

Installation Ceremony was held at Pramod Mandir, Kinnal Road 6.00PM on 12th July 2014.
